SO here are ten things about Braeden:
1. Braeden LOVES music. He is the most musical baby that I have ever seen. He has GREAT rhythm.
2. Braeden does this karate chop thing if he doesn't want to do something. It basically means, GO AWAY!
3. Braeden LOVES balloons. I mean bordering on obsession. If he sees a balloon, he MUST have it.
4. Braeden LOVES the bathtub. He loves to splash and take footballs and playground balls INTO the tub. We try to stop him but he just gives us the Karate chop!
5. Braeden is a GREAT snuggler. He will always take time to snuggle with us each day!
6. Braeden remembers EVERYTHING. If he does something with his Grandmom, he will remember it MONTHS later and ask to do it again! If he sees something in a house, he will remember it MONTHS later.
7. Braeden goes to bed at 7:45. If he stays up past then, he becomes a LOON.
8. Braeden STILL drinks a bottle. He does not mind if you tell him ONLY babies drink bottles. He just says, "Pass the BaBa."
9. Braeden likes to play in his sisters' room the best. He LOVES their rug and will lay on it and smile the BIGGEST smile.
10. Braeden is the LIGHT of Mommy's life and he KNOWS it! HE has me wrapped around his finger!!!!!!

Braeden had a wonderful time on Easter. He discovered his love of HAM! I mean big time LOVE! It was too cute. He also discovered his love for his cousin, Madison!!

Tomorrow Mommy has to go back to work. Boo!!! I wish I could stay at home with Braeden ALL the time!! Hint...Hint...Daddy!!

Mr. Silly Makes a Comeback...

Braeden is VERY into being silly lately. He talks in a very strange deep voice. We're not sure who he is being??? He crosses his eyes, even though Mommy repeatedly tells him not to. He ROARS at strangers. Yes, he is scary. He dances, plays the drums, and ROCKS OUT often. He climbs in the toy box. He colors on people's heads.
Let's just say this little man is FEELING GOOD!

We didn't tell him that his shirt was on backward. Haha.

He LOVES his Daddy.

Shawn and I are so thankful for a wonderful year. Braeden has grown from a baby into a big boy. Shawn and I are happier than ever.

Shawn has become such a strong, wonderful teacher at the senior high and I'm doing o.k. myself at the charter school.

Most importantly, Braeden brings joy and humor to us each and every day. Whether he is being an angel or a monster, it is always an experience!! We wish everyone a safe, peaceful 2008 and pray that God will bless us with our complete family in the coming year!

Finally, here are some Thanksgiving pictures! We had a wonderful day and Braeden was an angel! He loved, loved, loved Mike's Mom, Pat, and spent most of the day with her.
The picture of Braeden from behind is a VERY special picture because it shows my little boy WALKING!
We also had our first attempt at a Christmas picture of the four kids. I think Braeden had other plans, though. He is too much...poor Erin!

I know everyone says this but I really can't believe how quickly time flies! We had Braeden's second birthday party last night! It was so much fun and I kept looking at him all night and thinking...my baby is a little boy.

Braeden had a BLAST. He was OBSESSED with balloons, his new car, and his race track. Braeden got TONS of presents...it was like Christmas a month early!

Oh, by the way...The adults had a pretty good time, too!

Light the Night Walk

This Saturday, Shawn, Braeden and I went to the Light the Night walk on Penn's Landing. It is to benefit Leukemia and Lymphoma. We had a wonderful time! It was a really special night.

We were on Team Ryan honoring a special boy named Ryan McGinty!

We were lucky enough to create a beautiful family through the power of adoption. I have become very involved in the adoption community and still remain very close with people who have adopted and are IN PROCESS still waiting for their children to come home from Guatemala.

In the last few days, Guatemala has announced that it will stop all adoptions to the US as of January 1. For those people who are in the MIDDLE of an adoption, they will effectively LOSE their children and their babies will face uncertain futures. This is a political game between Guatemala and the US and the children are caught in the middle.

Surgery day!

Well, today I had my surgery. I was very scared and am SOOO relieved that it is over and all went well. Now I just have to take a few days to feel better. The only thing that STINKS is that I can't pick up my little man for 48 hours. Needless to say, he is NOT happy! Here are some cutie pics of him to make me happy!

P.s. Check out the one of him picking his nose...he is such a stinker. Everytime he gets told "No", up the finger goes!

This time last year...
This is a really cool month for us. This time last year we were in Guatemala. We left for Guatemala on August 8th, 2006 and were forever with Braeden on August 9th. It is amazing how quickly time goes! I felt like time stood still when I was waiting for Braeden and now I see him getting bigger and bigger each day and I can't believe it.
August 29th is our FOREVER HOME day so I am really excited about it. We are going to get a pinata and special presents for Braeden and celebrate!

O.k. ...
It has been FOREVER since we have posted. The last few weeks have been crazy. For those who don't know...Braeden did NOT have surgery. It has been postponed so that Braeden can see some specialists (cardiology and GI). He is hanging in there but going through QUITE a case of the terrible twos. LOTS of tantrums, hitting, throwing, etc. Let me tell you, it is funny but also tough. I try not to laugh but he just looks so funny when he is throwing a fit or deciding that he doesn't like me or Shawn.
Mommy is tired, too, as this week has been quite draining. I am hanging in thers and am pleased to say that I have not had ONE tantrum!

So...the orders are:
